Brandywine outscored visiting Edwardsburg 15-6 in overtime to avoid an upset Tuesday night.

The No. 3-ranked Bobcats (11-1) held off Edwardsburg (7-3) 62-53. The two teams were deadlocked at 47-47 at the end of regulation.

Makenna Hartline, Michaela Hartline and Tammy Lee all scored four points in the extra session for Brandywine.

The Bobcats led 15-13 after one quarter and 30-21 at the intermission.

The Eddies began whittling away at the lead in the second half, cutting Brandywine’s advantage to 38-33 heading to the fourth quarter.

Edwardsburg outscored the Bobcats 14-9 in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Lee led Brandywine’s balanced attack with 18 points. Makenna Hartline finished with 15 and Michaela Hartline 14.

Olivia Hack led Edwardsburg with a game-high 24 points. Alexis Blake added eight points before fouling out.
