For the first time this season, the undefeated Dowagiac boys basketball team will hit the road.

The Chieftains will head to South Haven for a Wolverine Conference West Division contest against the Rams.

Dowagiac (2-0, 1-0 West Division) is coming off an 81-17 win over Vicksburg in which senior Kyle Solloway saw his first action of the season and scored a game-high 31 points.

Dowagiac hopes to continue to get healthy as it heads toward the new year.

Zach Williams returned from an ankle injury, but Dowagiac is still waiting for the return of Bryce Dodd from a football injury and Davion Highsmith.

The Rams are 3-0 on the year and 1-0 in the West Division. South Haven opened the season with a 70-65 win over two-time Class B District champion Lakeshore and then defeated Berrien Springs 59-46 in its West Division opener.

On Tuesday night, the Rams defeated Paw Paw 78-59.

In the win over the Redskins, Keylonte Gaines led all scorers with 29 points. He was the lone South Haven player to reach double figures. In all, 10 Rams scored four of more points.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m.
