BUCHANAN — The Brandywine wrestling team took the first step toward securing a Lakeland Conference championship by defeating host Buchanan 41-33.

The Bobcats ended up with a split on the night as White Pigeon defeated Brandywine 43-36.

The Bobcats are now 5-7 on the season.

Going undefeated on the night for Brandywine were Vinny Salle and Charlie Rodriquez.
