Bobby Wright, of Sister Lakes, died on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac. He was 70 years old.

Bobby was born on Feb. 7, 1943 in Pell City, Ala., the son of Palmer David and Mildred (Merryman) Wright. He was united in marriage to Georgiana Roberts on Jan. 2, 1966 in Ottawa, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

Bobby and Georgiana were owners of the Country Corner Family Dining in Sister Lakes and he retired from National Copper Products in Dowagiac after 33 years. He was a family man, an avid Alabama Football “Roll Tide” fan, enjoyed traveling and camping, woodworking and building.

His loving family includes his wife Georgiana; three daughters, Tiffany (Matt) Schlientz of Northville, Mich., Tonya (Andrew) Spaulding of Waukesha, Wis., and Tamara (Alan) Vermeulen of Evart, Mich.; six grandchildren, A.J Vermeulen, Lauren Schlientz, Austin Macak, Cole Spaulding, Brian Schlientz and Anna Spaulding; one brother, Tommy; and two sisters, Cathy and Nina.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Carolyn.

His family will gather with friends at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Cassopolis United Methodist Church, 209 S. Rowland St., Cassopolis. Officiating will be Reverend Benjamin David Hutchison. A time of refreshments and cookies will follow the service. Burial will then be at Keeler Cemetery in Keeler Township.
