Brandywine’s Zach Schmidt and Buchanan’s Kevin Dey were named to the honorable mention portion of the Division 3 All-State team, which was announced following last week’s state finals.

Schmidt, a junior, played midfield for the Bobcats. Dey, a senior, played forward for the Bucks.

Area players named to the all-state team, which is selected by the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association, were:

• Caleb Colp, Lakeshore – Division 2 second team

• Chase Lennartz, St. Joseph – Division 2 honorable mention

• Tony Canonie, South Haven – Division 3 first team

• Omar Calderon, South Haven – Division 3 second team

• Tanner Plochocki, South Haven – Division 3 honorable mention

• Danny McEachen, LMC – Division 4 second team

• Todd Shelly, Marcellus – Division 4 second team

• Edgar Gutierrez, Hartford – Division 4 third team

• Matt Hendricks, Bridgman – Division 4 honorable mention

• Preston Boshovan, Marcellus – Division 4 honorable mention
