Dorothy M. (Noe) Wisniewski, 83 of Cassopolis passed away early Saturday morning; Nov. 2, 2013. Her last few hours were watched over by many family members and she died in the gentle presence of those she loved.
A Celebration of life will be 12 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St. Dowagiac, with Pastor Carolyn Kern officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Born in 1930 near Kimmell, Ind. to Claude R. and Luella E. (Thatcher) Noe. She grew up happily on her parents’ farm, which is still used for reunions by their heirs.
She is survived by four sisters; Alice Deetz, Margaret Leslie, Nelda (Ray T.) Noe and Sharon (Ray) Chenoweth.
She is preceded in death by six siblings: Norman Noe, Claudine Bolin, Violet Mahnesmith, Ray T. Noe, Robert Noe, and Roger Noe. Also proceeded by a son; Baby Samacovis.
She is survived by three children; Debra (Bruce) Doughty of Mooresville, Indiana, Jeffry (Kathleen) Wisniewski of Cassopolis, Michigan, and Stephen Wisniewski of Austin, Texas. Two stepsons; Lawrence Wisniewski of Cary, North Carolina, and Mark Wisniewski of Marcellus, Michigan.
She is loved and missed by her grandchildren; Stephanie Quadagno, Elaine (Rob) Reed, Miriam (Brian) Bible, and Suzanna (Brad) Spiker all of Mooresville, Indiana. Tiara (Gary) Zimmerman and Amber Wisniewski of Dowagiac, Michigan; and Cassandra (Yossi) Regev of Jerusalem, Israel. Her Texas grandchildren are Destiny Wisniewski, USMC; Elea Wisniewski of Austin, and Seth Wisniewski, USMC. Through her stepson Mark she has: granddaughter Veronica (Robert) Wallace with two angels in heaven Hunter and Gabriel; granddaughter Kristina (Brandon) Compton with great granddaughter Haleigh and grandson Steven.
Grandma Great, as she was affectionately called had a host of great grandchildren as lovely as the stars of the heavens; Hanah, Alexis, Nicholas, Keira, and Noah all of Mooresville, Indiana. Her Dowagiac, Michigan great grandchildren are Caleb, Jadelyn, Shawn, Annalise, and Bryce.
Dorothy will now be with the love of her life, Stanley Wisniewski, who preceded her in death 28 years ago, and whom she never went a day without missing, and will never miss him a single day longer.
