Margaret S. Stamp, age 84 years of Buchanan, Michigan died at 9:07 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at her home following a brief illness.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1929 in Elmira, New York to Ridgway and Margaret Hattie (Champion) Stamp and was graduated from Southside High School in Elmira. She was employed for several years as an aide at Elcore Nursing Home. She has lived in Niles and Buchanan since 2003.

Margaret was a member of Calvary Road Community Church in Niles. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, art, and reading.

Surviving family includes her children, Stephen (Patricia) Borg of Buchanan; and Margaret (Steven) Rodinak of Gillett, Pennsylvania; granddaughter Lisa (Robert Murdock) Wolf-Murdock, and great-grandchildren Kelley, David, Jacob and Gabriel; and a sister, Juanita (George) Springstead of Elmira Heights, New York.

The funeral service for Margaret Stamp will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with the Pastor Mark A. Youngberg of Calvary Road Community Church officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Committal Rites will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, New York. Contributions in memory of Margaret may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
