Niles soccer tunes up for districts with victory

The Niles soccer team tuned up for the upcoming district tournament with a 3-1 win over visiting Marcellus in non-conference action Thursday night.

The Vikings will host Big 16 Conference West Division foe Mattawan in the opening round at 5 p.m.

The winner advances to face Edwardsburg, which received a first round bye. The semifinal match will be played at Sturgis Thursday at 5 p.m.

The championship match is slated for 10 a.m. Saturday at Sturgis.
