Bobcats, Chieftains tune up for regionals

The Brandywine and Dowagiac tennis teams tuned up for Friday’s Division 4 Regional with a non-league match Tuesday afternoon.

The visiting Bobcats easily defeated the Chieftains 7-1.

Brandywine picked up a pair of sweeps at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles with Tyler Mott and Chad Brooks and Matt Vaughn and Coles Searles.

The Chieftains picked up their lone victory at No. 4 singles where Vaughn Herter defeated Lukas Hoffman in a three-set thriller 2-6, 6-3 and 6-2.
