Founders of a n

ew organization in Cass County hope to better their community as a whole through their efforts.

Cass County’s 100 Women Who Care, launched this October, aims to soon contain at least 100 members who will contribute to their efforts.

According to the organization’s brochure, “it is the group’s goal to hold meetings quarterly, with the incent of having 100 or more present, each committed to giving $100 to the chosen charity.”

The group will dedicate donated funds to charities specifically in the Cass County area in order to keep 100 percent of all funds raised in the Cass County community.

At each meeting, members are encouraged to bring an idea for a charity to be placed in a hat. Charities will be chosen randomly.

“I had heard of the idea/organization at a meeting I attended in Kalamazoo in the spring. It took some time to make the website, carefully choose a board and meeting logistics,” said Kim MacGregor, one of the founders of the organization.

Interested patrons can contact the group by phone at (269)782-3012, by email at info@casscounty100wwc.webs.com or by visiting their website at casscounty100wwc.webs.com.

Meetings are held quarterly at 5:30pm at the Foundation Room of Southwest Michigan College, with the location subject to change as the group grows larger.
