Eva Jane Beidler, 89, was born in Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 10, 1922. She passed away quietly at her home in Tucson, Ariz. on April 4, 2012.
She is survived by her son, Maj Douglas W Beidler; daughter Deborah A Engebretson; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Jane and her late husband Bruce resided on Front Street in Dowagaic for many years. Jane was also a longtime resident in the White Mountains of Arizona. In the early days, Jane worked for Southwest Forest Industries in McNary, Ariz., and then sold real estate as a broker for years. After retirement, Jane and her late husband Bruce enjoyed many wonderful years at their home in Cholla Bay, Mexico.
For those of us who knew Jane (Mom) she was a kind and giving person who thought of others first. Jane will be greatly missed by all. She was the most gracious hostess ever. Give Jane lemons, she’d make you a lemon pie!
Services for Jane will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m.
