BENTON TOWNSHIP — Multi-genre vocalist Susan Ashton brings her mesmerizing voice and powerful performance ability to the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center Mainstage on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m.
This Grammy-nominated performer will showcase some of the best Americana songs while weaving in hits from her 20-year career. Ashton has written and performed with Garth Brooks, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, and Collin Rae. Audiences will recognize her voice from Jim Brickman’s hit “The Gift,” on which she is the female vocal lead. She has had multiple-format Top 40 singles including eight No. 1 singles, has won multiple industry awards, and has been recognized with a Grammy Award nomination.
Ashton’s new six-song EP Thief features her first single, a cover of the Gary Wright classic “Love is Alive,” and her upcoming single release “Moonshine.”
This performance is part of the Mendel Center Mainstage Artists “You Should Know” series. A cash bar will be available one-hour before show time.
