The Niles tennis team dropped a 5-3 Big 16 West Division decision to visiting Portage Northern Monday.

The Huskies swept the singles flights, while Niles won three out of the four doubles flights.

Winning matches for the Vikings were Brad and Matt Miller (6-0, 6-0) over Michael Metzner and Jay Garside; Derek Brown and Nick Borkowski (6-2, 6-4) over Earzad Razi and Spencer Brown and Matt Lee and Jake Ruelle (6-4, 6-2) over Max Ambs and Gerrit Rummel.
