George H. Turner, 71, of Niles passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.

He was born in New Orleans, La. to the late George Turner, Sr. and Kathleen (Veal) Thomas on Nov. 23, 1941.

George was a very private man who took great pride in caring for his family and friends. Always a generous man, George could always be counted upon to lend a helping hand.

George was preceded in death by his parents, a step-daughter and two brothers.

He is survived by his four sons, Andre, Jeffrey, “Little Andre”, and Jeremy Turner of Niles. George will also be missed by his loving friend and caregiver Dorothy Perry of Niles, his special friend Linda Treadwell of Niles, several grandchildren including Brandon and Leiah Treadwell both of

Niles, special nephews Joshua Treadwell, Anthony Perry, and niece Tonya Treadwell all of Niles.

Visitation for George are Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m. and the service to begin at noon.
