More than 100 students showed up Tuesday morning for the “New Student” Boot Camp at Dowagiac Middle School.

Boot Camp is a student orientation geared at introducing students to each other and becoming acquainted with DMS.

5 Star kicked off the morning with a thumb war competition along with an introduction to the 5 Star after-school program starting at the school in October.

Students were able to tour the building, meet new students from other elementary buildings, discuss expectations of DMS with several staff members and become aware of the many services available for students before, during and after school.
