Checkley-Petersen

John and Connie Checkley from Dowagiac are proud to announce the engagement of their son, Robert Checkley, to Kelli Petersen, the daughter of the late Andreas III and Carmen Petersen from Portland, Mich.

Kelli is a 1998 graduate of Portland High School and is completing her bachelor’s degree in management in human services at the University of Phoenix, with a pursuit of her master’s degree.

Robert is a 2000 graduate of Dowagiac High School and received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University in 2005.

They are employed at Michigan Paving and Materials Co.

The happy couple will exchange vows Oct. 27, 2012, in Portland, Mich.

They reside in Lyons, Mich.
