LeSEA Broadcasting has reached an agreement with Learfield Communications to be Michiana’s radio home for Indiana University football and basketball, as well as Purdue University football and basketball.
Indiana football and basketball will air its games on Harvest 103.1 WHME-FM. That station will also be the home for Purdue basketball. Purdue football will air on Pulse FM, 92.1 (formerly Q92 FM in Dowagiac) and 96.9.
“This is great for Big Ten fans in our area,” says WHME Sports Director Chuck Freeby. “There’s no change from last year for the IU fans and now Purdue has a steady home for football coverage. We’re looking forward to airing all these games.”
Both teams open the football season on Sept 1. Purdue faces Eastern Kentucky at Ross-Ade Stadium, with kickoff on Pulse FM slated for 3:30 p.m. Indiana opens at home against Indiana State. Harvest 103.1 WHME will air that game live at 8 p.m.
Harvest 103.1 is an FM station covering eight counties, which also airs Notre Dame baseball, Christian programs, talk shows and inspirational music.
Pulse FM airs on two frequencies, 92.1 (WHPD-FM) and 96.9 (WHPZ-FM), covering from St. Joseph, Michigan to the outskirts of Fort Wayne and Peru, Indiana. The station, renowned for its contemporary Christian music, also serves as the broadcast home of Notre Dame women’s basketball.
