Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg police arrested two suspects for breaking and entering vehicles in the Garver Lake area, with more expected.
A tip finally paid off Friday morning for Chief Kenneth Wray’s department.
On Tuesday, while making the arrests, officers recovered a car and two four-wheelers.
Officers and reserve officers have spent countless hours working on these apprehensions.
There was also a B&E of an abandoned home in the Garver Lake area where suspects stored stolen items.
Police received leads from concerned citizens throughout the community.
“We recovered many items, like GPS and cameras that were left in vehicles which were taken by these suspects,” Wray said.
One arrested suspect is an adult, the other a juvenile. The adult will be arraigned in Cass County Fourth District Court in Cassopolis on Thursday.
Wray said recovered property will be inventoried and matched to reports of stolen items to assure its return to owners, who he hopes have serial numbers to help in identification.
