Deborah Sue Moragne, 57, of South Bend, Ind., died Friday, April 27, 2012, in
Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
She was born in Dowagiac on July 4, 1954, to Henry and Charles Ray (Dorsey) Collins.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her brother, Henry Collins.
Deborah married Steve Moragne on June 21, 1975, in Cassopolis. He survives.
She loved shopping, especially garage sales. Her hobbies were decorating and redecorating, with each room having its own motif. She would always open her home to entertain.
Deborah is survived by: her husband, Steve Moragne Sr. of South Bend; two daughters, Charles Rae (Russell) White of Tacoma, Wash., and Candice (Daniel) Render of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; one son, Steve Moragne Jr. of South Bend, Ind.; her three adopted children, Desiree’ Collins, David Collins and Michael Collins, all of South Bend; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Collins of Italy, Kyle (Juwon) Collins of Korea, Kaylin Collins of Tacoma, Daniel James Render of Indianapolis, Lovette Basnight of Tacoma, Russell White of Tacoma, Isaiah Moragne of South Bend, Kadin Render of Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., Mackenzie Render of Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., and Landon Moragne of South Bend; one great-grandson, Romeo Collins of Korea; her father, Henry L. Collins of Cassopolis; seven sisters and seven brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins and friends.
The family is especially thankful to the care given Deborah by Nurse Practitioner Jennifer and nurse Helena.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, May 4, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11a.m. in Chain Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 16853 Chain Lake St., Cassopolis, with the Rev. Rayvon Bufkin officiating. Mrs. Moragne will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.
