To the editor:

I live in the 400 block of North Front Street in Dowagiac. I went to the store April 21 and when I came home, there was a strange car in my driveway and a police car behind it with lights flashing.
I drove around a few blocks and came back and there was a second police car with lights flashing parked on the street.
I drove around for 15 minutes and tried to go home and they were still there.
I called the non-emergency number and they said it would be a few more minutes until the tow truck would be there.
After more than a half hour they were gone and I went home.
I think they should have had respect for me by having the person go around the corner, which is a few feet from my driveway.
