Millions will answer the call to prayer May 3 in observance of the 61st annual National Day of Prayer.
This year’s theme, “One Nation Under God,” is based on Psalm 33:12, which says, “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
The Niles Area Ministerial Association is spearheading three local noontime observances.
• Niles City Hall — led by Pastor Collin Seitz of Community Evangelical Free Church at 508 E. Main St. in downtown Niles
• Niles Township Hall — led by Pastor Bob Jackson of Niles First Church of God at 320 Bell Rd. in Niles Township
• Howard Township Hall — led by Pastor Jim Wing of Niles First Baptist Church at 1345 Barron Lake Rd. in Howard Township
