Roberta’s life began on Sept. 1, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of William E. Booth and Elverna F. Fritz.
Roberta was united in marriage to Donald Stanton on Oct, 28, 1950, in Decatur.
She was a faithful longtime member of the Calvary Bible Church of Dowagiac.  Roberta was a cashier at Harding’s in Cassopolis for many years.
Her loving family includes: her children, Robert (Margery) Stanton of Jackson, Michael (Melissa) Stanton of Dowagiac, Donna (Thomas) Colley of Dowagiac, Diane (John) Woods of Winslow, Ariz., and Pamela (Anthony) Ryan of Waterford; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sylvia Sherburn of Lawton; and several nieces and nephews.
Roberta passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Cass County Medical Care Facility.
She is preceded in death by: her husband Don; a son, Donald Stanton Jr.; sister, Elverna Rank; and three brothers, William Booth Jr., Kenneth Booth and Robert Booth.
Her family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.  at Yazel and Clark Chapel.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Calvary Bible Church led by Pastor Robert Vickroy.  Roberta will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Cemetery, Niles.  Memorial contributions in her name may be directed Calvary Bible Church in Dowagiac or the Leukemia Foundation.  Please sign her guestbook and leave a memory of Roberta at www.yazel-clark.com.
