Dirty Birds wallow in mud

Southwestern Michigan College’s inaugural Dirty Bird mud run Saturday was an 8K 8K (five-mile) race, with eight military-style obstacles in three tiers (eagle, hawk and falcon) and nine divisions.

The Dirty Bird is a fund- raiser for SMC’s veterans scholarship.
