Heckman-Bentzer

Heidi Lynn Heckman and Ryan Keith Bentzer were married May 21, 2011, in an outdoor ceremony at the Ruthmere Mansion by Pastor Jeff Reese.
The groom’s parents are Karl and Debbie Bentzer of Edwardsburg.
Danielle Lizotte of West Hollywood, Calif., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Glenyce Bentzer and Heather Hartley of Edwardsburg, Gina Dietl of Elkhart, and Rachel Hoffman of Vicksburg, Mich. Madison and Abigail Hartley were flower girls.
David Reed of Cassopolis was best man. Groomsmen were Jason Bentzer, the groom’s brother, and Ryan Hartley, Dale Miller and Jeff Glaser, all of Edwardsburg.
Cameron Mendenhall and Justin Stone of Edwardsburg ushered.
The bride was escorted by the couples’ children, Logan and Lucas. She also wore the same veil that her new mother-in-law did 33 years ago. The couple honored the groom’s parents and grandparents at the reception with pictures of their wedding days over the years. The couple also honored the brides’ late grandparents, Richard and Joanna Heckman, with a picture of each of them on chairs in the front row at the ceremony and pictures of their 35th wedding anniversary at the reception.
A reception at the Matterhorn followed the ceremony.
