Carole Ann (Runnels) Vosburgh

Carole Ann Vosburgh, 68, of Dowagiac, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at The Timbers of Cass County following a battle with cancer.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1944, in South Bend, Ind., to Owen and Mildred (Roach) Runnels.
On June 29, 1968, Carole married James Vosburgh at a ceremony in Niles.
Carole was a member of the Dowagiac Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness.
In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, camping, sewing and riding motorcycles.
Carole taught from the Bible for many years to a countless number of people. She was an incredible woman who always took an unselfish personal interest in others, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Carole is survived by: her husband, James Vosburgh of Dowagiac; two sons, Jim Anders of Dowagiac and Todd (Sarah) Vosburgh of Decatur; a daughter, Julie (Dave) Zehrung of Niles; her mother, Mildred Warnke of Florida; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Terry (Marilyn) Runnels of Milan and a sister, Crystal (Guy) Lemon of Florida.
Her family wishes to thank all of the caregivers for their kindness in caring for Carole, especially Dr. Bilal Ansari and the staffs of Michiana Hematology Oncology and The Timbers of Cass County.
A memorial talk will be held at the Dowagiac Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday, March 17, at 4 p.m.
