Lester B. Hyatt, 93

Lester Benjamin Hyatt, formerly of Dowagiac, died Feb. 15, 2012, at Freedom Village in Holland.
Lester was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and belonged to VFW Post 1855.
He owned and operated Hyatt Heating in Dowagiac along with his brother, Donald Hyatt.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mabel, his sister Shirley Pond and his brother Richard Hyatt.
He is survived by his sister LaVerne Ruff of Holland, his brother Donald Hyatt of Batesville, Ark., and several nieces and nephews.
His family will gather with friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until noon at Yazel and Clark Chapel in Dowagiac.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12 p.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel led by Pastor Jeffrey Weber. He will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Cemetery, Niles, with military honors.  Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
