Pamela Sue Farris, 52, of Front Street in Buchanan, died at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind., following an extended illness. She was born May 17, 1959, in Muskegon to Donald F. and Nancy C. (Wolcott) Blohm.
Pamela was a former member of the Fraternal Order Eagles 2094 in Niles and loved the beach.
On June 1, 2001, in Niles, she married John Farris, who survives. Also surviving is her son, Kirk True of Niles, granddaughters, Sophia and Penelope, her father, Donald Blohm of Paso Robles, Calif., brother Stephen (Pat) Blohm of Gaylord and Duane (Paula) Blohm of Muskegon, sister Patricia (Chris) Carpenter of Gowen, Aunt Mary Blohm of Paso Robles, Calif., and several cousins in California.
She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with Pastor Thaddeus Stout of Community Baptist Church in Niles officiating. Interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Pamela Farris may be made to the American Cancer Society.
