The Penn “B” team won the Eddies Invitational Wrestling Tournament Saturday by going 4-0 on the day.

Sturgis finished second at 3-1 and host Edwardsburg third at 2-2. Maple Valley and Vicksburg finished 1-3 and 0-5 respectively.

The Eddies defeated Maple Valley 58-15 and Vicksburg 66-12. Edwardsburg lost to Penn 48-19 and to Sturgis 38-34.

Going undefeated on the day for the Eddies was Dustin Vires at 119-pounds.

The Eddies take on Buchanan and Brandywine in key Lakeland Conference matches Wednesday at Coloma.

Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

COLOMA — The Edwardsburg wrestling team picked up a pair of Lakeland Conference wins at Coloma last Wednesday night.

The Eddies defeated rival Cassopolis 51-13 and then knocked off Berrien Springs 62-18.

Winning two matches for the Eddies were Dustin Vires, Michael Borden, T.J. Vanderheyder, Michael Kempton, Blake King, Michael Hunsberger, Lee Williamson, Bradley Brasfield and Col Hunberger.

Travis Myrick and Seth Barnett split time at heavyweight with both earning a win.
