The Feb. 28 presidential primary election will have no local offices or proposals on the ballot for Niles City voters.

This is a closed primary, meaning voters must select either a Republican or Democratic party ballot in order to vote. If a voter is submitting an application for an absentee ballot and doesn’t request a ballot type (Republican or Democrat), ballot delivery will be delayed until that information is obtained in writing.

Eligible voters who want an absent voter ballot may download an application at ci.niles.mi.us or by contacting Niles City Clerk Linda Casperson at 683-4700 ext. 204.
