Robert Herrington
July 29, 1939 — Dec. 30, 2011

Bob G. “Bob” Herrington passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at his residence with his family by his side.

He was a lifelong resident of Niles. He graduated from Niles High School in 1958. Bob was employed by National Standard Corp. in 1959. Bob retired from there in 2001.

Bob enjoyed baseball, football and golf. In his younger years he played fast pitch softball at Plym Park in Niles. He spent many happy days golfing with his son, Craig, and his friends. Bob also enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Teri, discussing family history and looking at old photographs. Bob was proud to be an American and loved his country.

On March 20, 1976, Bob married Dorothy at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In 2011 they celebrated their 3rth wedding anniversary.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Mamie; father, Eldon; brothers, Jim and Kenny; and his half-sister, Teresa.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Teri (Roger) DeLong; son, Craig (Teresa) Herrington; stepson, Mark (Tori) Smith; grandchildren, Cameron, Robert, Christina, Ashley and Michelle; and two great-grandsons, Ethan and Gavin.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
