BERRIEN SPRINGS — Following a two-month investigation by Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Officer Robert Christner and Det. Sgt. Patrick Teed, a two-count, fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct warrant was issued for Johan Albert Abrahams, 70.
Police Chief Milt Agay reported Thursday the defendant was operating a massage business out of his St. Joseph Avenue home when a 39-year-old female reported to police she was receiving massages at the business from the defendant.
The victim reported that as her therapy continued, the defendant began touching her in inappropriate places against her will.
The victim came forward to the police department in reference to her incidents, but also wanting to make sure no one else became a victim.
Abrahams has been arraigned by Berrien County Trial Court and awaits preliminary examination on the charged offenses, which allegedly occurred in September and October.
