Lorraine Morse, 84

Lorraine E. Morse, 84, of Niles, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at Lakeland Medical Center Berrien Center.

Lorraine was born July 12, 1927, in Allegan, Mich., to the late Francis J. and Arvada Hall Shimmons.

On Sept. 3, 1960, in Allegan, Mich., she married Albert H. Morse, who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1998. Also preceding her in death in 2008 was her companion, Les Akey of Niles.

Survivors include a daughter, Robyn Dickey of Torrance, Calif.; a son, Mike Morse of Niles; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and four sisters. Marva Chapel- Allegan, Mich., Mardell McVey- Lansing, Mich., Myrna Shimmons, Coldwater, Mich. and Marcia Wait of Allegan, Mich.

The family will be gathering in the spring to celebrate her life.

Visitation will not be offered. The family is being served by Swem Chapel, Buchanan.
