Beverly Ann Kollars, 61, of South Seventh Street, Niles, died at 5:47 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at her home following a battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 13, 1950 in Mishawaka to Gene Miller and Esther Mae (Washburn) Miller. She lived in South Bend, Niles and Dowagiac all her life.
She attended The Salvation Army in Niles. She enjoyed playing bingo at Morris Bingo Hall. She enjoyed frogs, listening to wind chimes and was an Elvis fan. She loved her cat, Oscar, and dogs, Little Bear and Lady Bell.
She married Thomas Earl Kollars in 1968. He died in January 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly “JR” (Kurt) Jones of Niles; sons, Frank (Alexandra) Kollars of Niles and Thomas (Sheila) Kollars of Niles; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Letha Logan, Ashley and Matthew Logan, Kurt Jones, Jr. and Frank Kollars, Jr., Randy and Sarah Kollars, Cheyenne Pierce and Brendan Swayer, Chatten and Dazzimia Curtis, Ashley Curtis and Kris Kelly and Carlos Veyna; and sister, Shirley McLean of Mishawaka.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles. With Major Tracey Walters of the Salvation Army officiating.
