To the editor:

It is time that HCHG “The Honest Citizens for Honest Government” stop stuffing unsigned and undated flyers in Niles Township mail and /or newspaper holders. It is also time for their blog on the internet to be signed. Our community deserves better and we should demand the owners of this blog and those who write these flyers admit who they are. Lies and half-truths written and put on the internet can destroy one’s reputation.  You could be next!
HCHG has brought me into their ongoing campaign to “destroy” Jim Ringler, the Niles Township treasurer.  It has been implied that my development “Longmeadow” has been used to promote Jim Ringler’s real estate business. Nothing could be further from the truth. It has falsely been reported that my company Tenney Associates has gone bankrupt. It has not.
As individuals we must not let unscrupulous people control the message. We all need access to the “rest of the story.”
I have written a lengthy rebuttal to the last flyer and asked both Leader Publications and the South Bend Tribune to investigate and write storie (see Tuesday’s Star). A copy of this rebuttal is available on request.
