John R. Allen, 65, of Osceola, Ind., died at 7:31 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2011, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.
He was born June 11, 1946, in Tennessee. He married LaVeda Saba in 1969. She preceded him in death on April 29, 2011, in Mishawaka.
Surviving are two daughters, Larena Medford of Elkhart, Daleena Williams of South Bend; a son, Brandon Allen of Arizona; ninegrandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (Dave) Pitcher of Niles; three brothers, Virgil (Ruth) Allen of Kentucky, W. F. Allen of Florida and Calvin Allen.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Allen.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Pastor Bob Vale from the Osceola United Methodist Church will preside.
Cremation has taken place at Elkhart Cremation services.
