Eloise Inez (Hemphill) Williams, 72, of 908 Lake St., Niles, died at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at her home
in Niles of natural causes.
She was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Haiti, Mo. She was a lifetime area resident.
Eloise was a certified nursing assistant at Silverbrook Manor. She was a member of the Niles Senior Center and AARP.
She married James Williams on Feb. 13, 1957, in Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lun Hemphill and Arssie Carter.
She is survived by her sons, Maurice Williams of Eau Claire, Mich., Barry D. Williams of Dolton, Ill. and James E. Williams of Niles; daughters, Vernette Williams of Fort Wayne, Ind., Michelle (Eric) Williams-Collins of Chicago, Lola D. Williams-Brown of South Bend (ex-son-in-law, Willie) and Sharon A. Williams of Niles; sisters, Lola Gurley of Niles and Dorothy J. Edwards of St. Louis, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at New Good Hope Baptist Church, Buchanan, with Pastors Willie and Barbara Cole of Sure Foundation Christian Assembly in Niles officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Niles.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at New Good Hope Baptist Church in Buchanan.
