To the editor:
Both my wife and I were born in Dowagiac, and we both graduated from Dowagiac
Union High School.
In addition, I have attended Bakersfield College, Cal State Bakersfield, Southwestern Michigan College, Lake Michigan College and Western Michigan University.
During my years of employment I have worked for companies as large as Bell Atlantic and as small as my own sole proprietorship.
During this employment I have managed retail locations that had sales volumes in the millions with clients including McDonalds Corp. and AT&T.
For the past 10 years I have been the technology director at Dowagiac Union Schools.
I have volunteered in various youth programs, including Dowagiac Little League and Dowagiac Youth Basketball League.
I have officiated youth sports for more than 20 years.
Currently, I serve on several boards, including the Dowagiac Area Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors.
My purpose for running for councilman is simply to make the City of Dowagiac a place where people want to raise their families, as my wife and I have ours.
I believe my background and experience will allow me to hit the ground running and be a productive member of your City Council.
I would appreciate your consideration on Nov. 8.
Randy Gross
