CASSOPOLIS — Henry Clay “L’il Henry” Collins, 62, of Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of Cassopolis, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, in Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Ind.

He was born July 13, 1949, in Rolling Fork, Miss., to Henry and Charles Ray (Dorsey) Collins Sr. He married Ernestine Dockery in Cassopolis on Nov. 28, 1969.

His mother preceded him in death along with one daughter, Wendy Collins.

Henry is survived by Ernestine Collins; his two daughters, Karen Collins and

Barbara Collins, both of South Bend; three grandchildren, Montreil Cooks,

Rayvon Collins and Robyn Bell; and one great-grandson, Marvin Bell.

He is also survived by his father, Henry Collins of Cassopolis; eight sisters,

Geraldine Emery of Denver, Colo., Barbara Jean Dillard of South Bend,

Rose M. Collins of Ohio, Betty P. Collins of Denver, Deborah (Steve)

Moragne of South Bend, Nannette Collins of Tacoma, Wash., Karen

Means of Niles and Lori (Anthony) Boone of Indianapolis, Ind.; six brothers,

Roosevelt Ross of Mississippi, Peter Ross of Ann Arbor, Robert R. Collins of

Mishawaka, Carl D. Collins of Mishawaka, Randy (Janet) Collins of Fort Wayne,

Ind., and Eric Collins of Elkhart, Ind.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m.

until time of service at noon at Connelly Chapel, Wagner Family Funerals,

officiated by his uncle, the Rev. Rayvon Bufkin.

Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.
