Dowagiac golfers wrap up season at regional

BYRON CENTER — The Dowagiac girls’ golf team wrapped up its season at the Division IV Regional at Railside Golf Club Thursday.

The Chieftains did not compete as a team as it only took two golfers.

Lansing Catholic was the regional champion with a score of 331. Kalamazoo Hackett and NorthPointe Christian also qualified with scores of 352 and 392 respectively.

Lansing Catholic’s Janie Fineis and Hackett’s Casey Lamp both shot 81 to share medalist honors.

Dowagiac’s Maggie Cripe shot 103 and Haley Smith shot 118.
