Rosemary B. Bussler, 76, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 22, 2011, at Buchanan Meadows.
She was born on July 25, 1935, in Escanaba, to the late Harry and Kathryn (Byrne) Lemmer. Rosemary graduated from St. Joseph Academy in South Bend, Ind. She attended Michigan State University for two years, studying Spanish. On Aug. 20, 1955, Rosemary married the love of her life, H. Dale Bussler, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Niles. A homemaker most of her life, Rosemary also was involved in three bridge clubs, Cosmopolitan Club, Service League, sorority work, Meals On Wheels and in charge of purchasing and running the Pawating Hospital Gift Shop. Rosemary was never too busy to help a friend, cook a meal or run an errand for them.
Rosemary was devout in her faith, not only in attending Mass at St. Mary’s regularly but showing Christ in her daily life by always helping and serving those in need.
On top of all of this, Rosemary ran a household, running her three daughters from activity to activity and making sure the family needs were met with nightly dinners and wonderful vacations. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Rosemary is survived by: her husband, H. Dale Bussler of Niles; three daughters; Missy (Ken) Burns of Pahrump, Nevada, K. Jill Bussler of Huntington Woods and Sue (Skip) Corey of Belmont; and five grandchildren, Tyler (Ashley) Burns, Kyra Burns and Trey, Skylar and Jentri Corey. Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 25, at Brown Funeral Home in Niles from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. and concluded with the Rosary at 7 p.m. with Father Melody officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Niles.
