Deanna Kay Ruble, 71, of Whitley County, Ky., for 34 years, died on Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at 3:33 p.m. after a long, courageous battle with cancer at a hospice treatment center in Columbus, Ohio.

Deanna grew up in Dowagiac and attended school through high school until 1958.

The mother of five was the office manager in her husband Dr. James Ruble’s practice for 46 years in the Fort Wayne area until retiring in 2006.

They moved in 2007 to Jefferson City, Mo., where Dr. Ruble serves as  a general dentist at a correctional facility in Tipton, Mo.

Services were Sept. 16 in Covington, Ky.
