NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Despite some anxious moments, Notre Dame picks up its first victorf the season as it tops Michigan State 31-13.

David Ruffer kicks a 33-yard field goal to up Notre Dame’s lead to 31-13 with 3:11 showing on the clock.

As we begin the final 15 minutes Michigan state gets a field goal from Dan Conroy to cut the lead to 28-13.

You can sense Notre Dame fans are not comfortable with the situation after last week.

End of third quarter

After catching three passes on the first drive, Notre Dame’s Michael Floyd finally gets another ball thrown his way early in the third quarter.

The catch was the 200th of his career.

One play later, Tommy Rees connects with T.J. Jones for a 26-yard touchdown to give the Fighting Irish a 27-10 lead with 9:30 showing on the clock.
