Jerry Lee Toner, 84, of Niles, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Lakeland Hospital in Niles with his family by his side.
He a member of the Niles Police Department for 30 years.
In keeping with Jerry’s wishes cremation has taken place and a brief graveside service will take place on Friday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Mission Hills Memorial Chapel.

Frank Stasiak, 81, of Marcellus, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo.
Frank’s life began on March 9, 1930, in Dowagiac, the son of Andrew and Jenny (Kawfka) Stasiak.
He was united in marriage to Alice Fay Stasiak on March 24, 1956, in Niles.
He was employed by Whirlpool Corp. for 28 years.
Frank was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. He had a magic touch on everything outside.
He is survived by his wife Fay of Marcellus, daughter Jackie (Bill) Rutherford of Waco, Texas, grandchildren Shelley Oliver, John Arnold and Billy Rutherford, great grandson Jacob Oliver and a brother Stanley (Beverly) Stasiak of Niles.
Frank is preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Frank’s family will gather with friends on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel, where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. led by Deacon Frank Wesolowski.
He will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
