Authorities have released the name of a Wheeling, Ill. man who drowned Sunday at the Hagar Township Park in Hagar Township.
According to Lt. Randy Miller of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, Robert Klepacki, 44, died at 2:42 p.m. at the park, located at 5380 North M-63.
Responding to the scene were the Berrien County Sheriff Patrol, Berrien County Marine Patrol, Berrien County Water Rescue Team, Berrien County Victim Services Unit, Berrien County Chaplain Corp., North Berrien Fire Department, the United States Coast Guard and Coloma Ambulance.
