SOUTH HAVEN — The Dowagiac golf team finished ninth Monday morning at the third Wolverine Conference Jamboree hosted by South Haven at HawksHead.

Plainwell defeated Vicksburg by 10 strokes, while Allegan, Paw Paw and Three Rivers rounded out the top five finishers.

Plainwell, led by medalist Hannah Lewis, shot 200 as a team. Lewis finished with a 41. The Bulldogs finished with a score of 210, Allegan 211, Paw Paw 217 and Three Rivers 226.

Otsego finished sixth with a 240, South Haven seventh with a 241, Comstock eighth with a 242 and Dowagiac ninth with a 266.

Maggie Cripe finished with a 53 for Dowagiac, which tied her for ninth place on the day. Haley Smith shot 60, Lauren Krueger 71, Rikki Baker 82 and Katie Fecho 103.

The Chieftains will host Lakeshore in a non-conference match today at Indian Lake Hills Golf Course.

The Wolverine Conference will play a doubleheader on Wednesday. The teams will play Cheshire Hills Golf Course in Allegan in the morning and then make the short trip over to PrairieWood Golf Course in Otsego for an afternoon match.
