NILES — Peggy Cottrell, 48, of Danville, Ill., and previously of Buchanan, passed away at University of Chicago Medical Center on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Arrangements are pending with Brown Funeral Home of Niles.
