EAU CLAIRE — John Reyes, a longtime resident of Eau Claire, passed away on June 28, 2011.

John was born in New Braunfels, Texas, in 1915 and moved to Eau Claire, Mich.., in 1936 to pursue a lifetime career in farming.

He also retired from Clark Equipment.

He is survived by: his son, Charles J. Reyes; his daughters, Janie (Reyes) Dechert, Beatrice (Reyes) Lieberman (and son-in-law, Nicholas Lieberman) and Helen (Reyes) Hurd (and son-in-law Martin Hurd); seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Senobia Reyes.

A funeral service has been scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27, at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 210 N. Front St., Dowagiac.
