Martin D. Keifer, 50, residing in Niles, passed away at 2:08 am Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011 in Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, Mich.
He was born Dec.1, 1960 in Niles to Charles W. and Annabelle (Kiggins) Keifer and remained a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Edwardsburg High School and worked as a landscaper.
Martin was preceded in death by his father, Charles. He is survived by his mother, Annabelle Keifer of Niles; sister, Linda (Patrick) Johns of Tuscon, AZ; brothers, Elton (Toni) Keifer of Granger, Kenneth (Jeannie) Keifer of Cassopolis and Arnold Keifer of South Bend; as well as three nephews and one niece.
There will be no services.
Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Rd., South Bend and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.
