Chairperson of the Berrien County Youth Fair king and queen contest, Jane Mitchell, announced the contest will be held Sunday, Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the grandstand at the 2011 Berrien County Youth Fair.

Admission for the event is free.

A king and queen will be selected from this year’s contestants and will represent the fair at all fair events this year. Contestants are junior and senior high school students of the last school year.

Contestants must be a resident of Berrien County and a current exhibitor at the Berrien County Youth Fair. Brenda Layne will serve as emcee for the program. Contestants include Rebecca Kastner of Niles, Chelsea Nutto of Benton Harbor, Rachael Tallman of Coloma, Dakota Fogarty of Watervliet and Katie Pozivilko of St. Joseph. Not pictured are Jay Gonder of Buchanan and Dana DelMuro of Niles.
