Parent-to-Parent Sale to help out thrifty families

The Cass County Great Start Parent Coalition is announcing a Parent to Parent Sale scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Gregarek Building in the Cass County Fair grounds from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Parent to Parent Sale is a sale with items specifically for kids and expecting moms. These sales are a great way to control a budget when providing a wardrobe for children who are growing faster than they can wear out their clothes.

Parents rent tables where they can sell the clothes, toys, and miscellaneous items that their families have outgrown. These parents sell these items usually at steep discounts, to clear out their own closets for an update. In turn, those same parents and the public can shop at these sales and find incredible bargains — clothes that are slightly used, even clothes that still have the tags on them sometimes. A variety of items can be found, from videos to video games, from baby bottles to raincoats, changing tables to car seats — just about anything a family could need.

Deadline to reserve a table is Aug. 16. There is a $1 entry fee per adult into the sale. Funds raised from table rentals and entry fees will go to the Cass County Great Start Parent Coalition to create a family emergency fund.

Table rental fees are $5 per table. Parents interested in renting a table can contact Natasha Johnson at (269) 816-2934.
